Finalist - Global Messaging Awards 2004 Ducont'sBank.companion and school.companion won nominations at the Global Messaging Awards 2004 for 'Best Use for Customer Relationship Management' and 'Best Use of Interactivity' respectively. Finalist - GSM Association Awards 2004 Ducont's School.companion solution was nominated for the 'Best Mobile Application or Service - Consumer Market' category and Ducont's solution for Dubai e-Government's mDubai initiative (UAE) to progress e-government through wireless communications was nominated under 'Mobile in the Community - Best Use of Mobile for Accessibility' at the GSM Awards 2004. This is the second consecutive year where the GSM Association has nominated Ducont's innovative solutions as finalists for these prestigious awards, hailed as the "Oscars of the mobile industry". Winner - Special Award - Microsoft European RAD Awards 2003 Ducont's Mobile Payments application - mDirham - was awarded the 'Special Award - Most Innovative Application' at the fourth Microsoft European Retail Application Developer (RAD) Awards held in Paris in April 2003. mDirham is an innovative, bilingual (Arabic and English) payments solution that promotes mobile commerce by empowering customers to pay for goods and services using wireless devices. Special Prize - Reliance Infocomm-Nasscom Mobile Application Contest 2003 Ducont's Expense Tracker was chosen winner for this 'Special Prize', awarded by the Dhirubhai Ambani Developer Programme in India. Finalist - GSM Association Awards 2003 Ducont's E-Police System emerged as a finalist under the category, 'Best Wireless Application or Service', for the Corporate Market Award at the GSM Association Awards 2003. Finalist - Microsoft Momentum 2003 Ducont was nominated finalist for the second consecutive year at the Microsoft Momentum Awards 2003, the annual Microsoft Certified Partner Awards. The finalist nomination was under the category of 'Best Collaborative Solution of the Year' for Ducont's solution for Dubai e-Government's mDubai initiative. Finalist - Microsoft Fusion 2002 Ducont became the first GCC company to be recognised as a finalist in the 'Best Collaborative Solution of the Year' category at Microsoft Fusion 2002. Ducont's unique E-Police System was selected as the best Microsoft-based collaborative solution from the Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa region in 2002. Certificate of Commendation - Dubai Police - 2001 Dubai Police has commended Ducont for its unsurpassed standards of service and technical excellence. The appreciation came when Ducont developed the E-Police System, an effective, speedy, intuitive and secure system to manage on-the-job and internal communication among Dubai Police personnel. Finalist - e-biz challenge@dubai 2000 Ducont was adjudged Finalist at Dubai Internet City's prestigious e-biz challenge@dubai 2000. Its concept of a Mobile Content, Transaction and M-Commerce Portal was selected from amongst 1,385 nominations from 34 countries.
